I'm 23 years old and I'm married and my husband and I live with my mom we help her with the bills and clean the house for her, she can't do much with a fracture on her back rib. Just thought I would say that before anybody tells me to move out and get my own place. Anyways my mom is trying to get rid of my stuffed animals I have 6 and I really don't want to get rid of them because my daddy had given them to me as gifts and it would hurt so much if I got rid of them or gave them away. My dad passed away in April of 2010 and it's all I have left, I have told my mom how much they mean to me but she says that I'm an adult and I need to get rid of them. so far I have bought a lock for my door to keep her out of my room while I'm not home so she won't go in there and get rid of them. I need help, what should I do or say?

Tell your mom that that those stuff animals or toys area part of you, and that those are a nice memory of your life and they can pass through your family history. Also you have the right to keep them, just try to keep them away from your mom you know just in case. Well I hope you get to keep them, good luck.

I love stuffed animals too but I recently watched a show and they were talking about how much bugs and dirt goes into stuffed animals and they took a piece of a Teddy bear and put it under a microscope and it had all these little nasty bugs in them it was just disgusting I was convinced to through away mine as soon as possible because breathing in the air righ next to the stuffed animals were disgusting. Anyways if you still don't want to throw them away just keep them in a box where you can store somewhere until you move out orsomething k hope this helped :-)

just say you can give them to your children so it would be like a family stuffed animal thing.if you dont have kids then say your saving them to give to your kids once you have them or it.

you should try to compromise with her maybe keep the one which means most to you. Also think about it from your mums side, maybe she doesn't want to be reminded of your dad as it is to hard for her.

If you tell her how much they mean to you, then she would probably understand.
