Do you need a UK bb gun licence to by a airsoft gun from airsplat.com because the guns are not two tone? I really know very little on this topic and would like to know whether the UK customs will confiscate purchased airsoft guns because i do not have a single tone licence??I'm really confused regarding this so please help!!!!

There's no such thing as a BB gun licence in the UK so no...



As you already know, it's illegal to import realistic looking imitations. Unless you have a defence or exemption to the Violent Crime Reduction Act, you won't be allowed to import a realistic gun and it will be seized and destroyed.



To qualify for a defence as an airsofter, you need to be a member of a local site which has public liability insurance. Once you can supply proof of that you can legally import realistic guns (btw, import from Hong Kong from someone like RSOV.com, not the USA - they're about 30% cheaper there!).

Once you qualify for site membership, you can also register yourself with UKARA (often mistaken for a licence). UKARA registration is a good way of proving your defence for buying within the UK and can help with importing too.





When you import a gun, customs will stop the parcel and contact you for details of your eligibility to import it. Unless you can provide your site membership details and/or your UKARA registration details they will destroy your parcel.
