You should ask the seller a question to clarify what they mean.
I sell on Ebay, with older toys, even if they are in their original box I do no mark them as new, only as "like new" if that is the condition.
Once an item has been in a home environment for years, it cannot really be called new. It's been exposed to dust and allergens, possible discoloration of the box from sunlight and so on. It isn't as perfect as it was back when it was made unless it was stored in a sealed container in a climate controlled environment and protected from all light.
In other words, if it's a ten year old toy it won't be as perfect as it was new from the store even if it is still in the original box. Some wear and tear to the box should be expected.
I would suggest looking closely at the photos in the listing and asking the seller what they mean by "like new".
Next time, do that BEFORE you bid. If you win you are obligated to buy the item and it's no one's fault but your own if you didn't read the description. The seller has to pay to sell the item to you, it's not fair for them to lose fees because you didn't check the description before bidding.
I'm sure you'll learn that as you go along on Ebay..
